Title: 98 Suburban, Engine runs on after gauges installed
Post by: MrMopar64 on November 03, 2010, 02:47:17 AM
I've got a job coming in tomorrow.
The guy had someone wire up the amp oil and water temp gauge
and now when you turn the key off it stays running.

I know they ran the wire for the amp meter to the back of the alt
So I'm looking for ideas where to look for the problem... I'm thinking Amp meter or alt

Let me know what ya think

Thanks

It's the Ammeter. Sounds like the negative side is hooked to the wrong side of the ignition. Load rather than power.
