Title: Room for the follies
Post by: trackster on April 27, 2010, 01:47:40 PM
The wife and I are thinking about going to the Frog Follies this year for the first time.
Any one have some advice as to where "not" to stay or recommendations as to a place  with comfortable rooms?  Doesn't have to be fancy, just clean. Thanks. Gary

We've been staying at a place called Oak Meadow Lodge for app 17 yrs. AKA old folks home. The best advice I can give is to get a room nailed down ASAP. Try Evansville Chamber of Commerce for motel list. Also Henderson Ky. which is just over Ohio river to the south. There are quite a few motels at the jct. of I64  & US 41 about 3-4 miles north of Vandenburg Co 4H fairgrounds where event is held. This is one of our favorite shows to attend. Food prices are low, alot of money is raised for local charities, It's not about how much $ can be squeezed from rodders. Oh yeah, pre 49 too.
