This is something I used on the last 2 or 3 cars we've done & thought I would share...Aluminum "J"-channel for mounting house mirrors is great for tucking carpeting into by door openings , on the door edge of kick panels, etc. It comes in "mill finish", ( plain aluminum ) at the local H-D, Lowes, or for LOTS more $$$, your local glass & mirror supplier..It comes in 0.125 & .250 channel width ( the channel is approx .250 deep) & the back flange can be cut & notched to match slight curved area's . ( As shown) . It works great as a "finished" edge by the opening & can be painted to "blend in" if necc...

You can use a piece on the front door opening to hold the kick panel in place too, it polishes up nice.
