If you would like to get a feel for the newest version of this software you can look at the most recently released version of it at http://www.roddingroundtable.com/beta/index.php

You are welcome to sign up and look around. Feel free to post and make comments. If you see something that should work but does not let me know.

Tell me what you think.

Another thing. Don't post anything there that is something you want to keep alive. When the next version of the software comes out this will most likely be outright deleted. So no post you want to save or return to. This of this as a wall covered in graffiti it could be repainted at any time.

Pretty much like all the forums I'm used to frequenting.

Sure hope that color scheme will be the default.

Rayvyn

I like it. At least it's not Guacamole colored..
Whatever you decide, boss man.. :)

I don't mean to ruffle any feathers here , but I think the background color is perfect not because I like yellow because I don't .   I like it because in the evening when I log on I have been known to drift into a short nap. waking up and trying to figure where I am at is no problem just look at that color and I know I am at the RRT.  So when the old puter gives yellow back ground color .
be happy and think of it as lemons and make lemon aid  :P  :P  :P

Could we get the color in sort of a mauve and purple paisley motif?

Or Fuchsia?

Carnut

Ok, one last comment on color schemes.

It was posted that the forum was looking for things that would bring in more posts/posters and get more folks to hang around.

I sure would hate see someone shooting themselves in the foot for the sole purpose of artistic expression or personal preference.

Now, there are some pretty bigtime business's on the net trying to appeal to the largest audience possible with their websites and I'm sure they have invested tons of money and expertise into studing the effects of color schemes that would provide for the most pleasant and enticing environments for the widest possible audience.

Possibly if y'all would checkout:

Just to consider what color schemes they might have in common.

On the color of the background, we are looking at modifying it. Actually, though you may not remember it, the members picked this color many years ago when we set this up. And we have done some research, this color is restful, gives good contrast for reading, and is distinctive.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Yes, I remember the original color discussion.

I also remember when yellow/green fire engines were found to be more visible than red.

Hey, wasn't John Milner's deuce coupe this colour?

That's gotta give it some kind of cred.
