Rodder's Roundtable / Re: Battery cables to be made
March 25, 2024, 07:52:50 PM
I have to second Battery Cables USA. Just pick the length, gauge, color and ends that you want and in a few days they are at your door for a very reasonable price. Nice quality too.

I remember the Hone units on the Baldwin Motion cars. Seems they were widely used in motor homes too. I wonder if there is such a thing as a motor home graveyard. What was the Borg Warner R11 used in?

But there is still the question as to where the fluid went. Keep a close eye on it.

That's the way things seem to go around here too. About the time I think I'm making progress on my list something else pops up.

Rodder's Roundtable / Re: Jegs High Performance sold
March 16, 2022, 07:04:01 PM
I check out Jegs when I'm ordering parts but most come from Summit or Speedway. Occasionally Jegs has a better price or something that suits my needs better. I ordered a front bumper for my 69 C10 from them a few months ago. It was on sale for a good price but all the venders always have a oversize fee on them. I didn't see it listed so went ahead through the ordering process to see what would pop up. With the shipping prices being nuts lately I was really surprised that it showed only $11.00 shipping and no oversize fee. I went ahead and ordered it sure that the fee would show up sometime before it was shipped but it didn't. 2 days later the Fed Ex truck came up the drive with my bumper. I bought a cowl grommet for the radio antenna lead a while back from OPG. The shipping doubled the cost of the grommet that they mailed in an envelope and was only slightly lower than the bumper.  I guess I don't care who owns Jegs as long as they still do a good job.

The pinstripe helps a lot. The fenders in the last 2 pictures have a look that seems to match the overall look of the truck better

The VA messaged me on the 8th That vaccines were available and the walk in clinic was open. On the 18th they messaged saying that the walk in Covid vaccine clinic was closed and vaccines were by appointment only. I haven't tried to call for an appointment yet.
