Got word last night that a friend I used to work with before retirement passed away from Covid. He was a big, strong man. That makes four people I know that have died from this. 😕

Got to deer camp yesterday, drove through a little snow in the Lower Peninsula. Wook up to this at camp in the U.P.

We're at $3.50 most places in town now, not too far away it's 12-25 cents cheaper....the border opens up tomorrow to allow Canadians over here. Makes me wonder if the local stations raised prices in anticipation of a possible influx looking for "cheap" gas! 🤔😀

I went to my friends auction today.  I bought something I have wanted and looked for a long time.  A copy of Life magazine from 1957.  It is the drag racing issue.
.

I found that at an antique store 5-6 years ago. I had never seen it before, just thought it was cool!

I went with my wife to a Mennonite store (bulk goods) about 40 miles from home. All two lane roads through small towns. We found gas at a Walmart for $3.06 and filled up. Back kn town it was between $3.19 up to $3.46. By

Thanks for the compliments. Many people mention the fence. It was the final thing painted, like Bob Ross used to say, " It's your bravery test" when he would add a huge tree at the end of the painting. Screw that up and you can junk the whole thing! 😆

I finished a painting this morning. Not really thrilled with it, but it's done. Now to clean the shop and mow the lawn, maybe for the last time thus year, we had a pretty good frost this morning.

Yes, it was a cross bow. I had never used one before. My shoulder has been bothering me so a friend at work said I could try his.
Nice little Excalibur.
I have his big brother rack sitting outside from last year. That's about as big as they get by me. To many people/homes.

My camp is in the western end of the U.P., near Iron River. The bucks, and deer in general, have been tough to get the last few years. I was up there in Sept. and there was good sign, but also a lot of wolf tracks. Our camp has not gotten a buck the last two seasons...

416Ford, that's a nice buck, the rack looks nearly identical to one hanging on my livingroom wall! Was that a crossbow?

The Gallery where I show my automotive art recently rearrange the space. It was looking like a garage sale inside. Each artist was given a specific are to place their pieces. I was relegated  to dark back corner, cut off from the rest of the gallery. I contemplated leaving and had taken half my stuff home. I came in to work a couple weeks ago and they had installed track lighting and removed the barriers to that corner. Now it's a highlight of the gallery. Here's my space now, I'm taking advantage of it!

I wonder if people who wear masks in their cars have the same problem that I do. With behind the ear hearing aids, I can't wear the loop type masks that go behind my ears, as they get tangled with my hearing aids, so maybe they just leave them on for the next stop?  I wear the 3M masks, and if I come out of a store with my hands full, it waits til I unload the stuff, as it takes two hands to remove it.

Many Asians have been wearing masks for years, way before covid hit. I don't know what was in the air over there.

When I was in China a few years ago many people wore masks. Our interpreter said it was because of air pollution, which was really bad where we were. A haze in the air all the time with a faint garbage fire smell to go with it. Never saw the sun shining for three weeks.

That's cool. Did you paint it from memory or did you take a pic? The plants are very detailed.

Painted from reference photos I took up there a couple weeks ago. Foliage is a weak point for me so I decided to work on this till it looked ok. There is about twice as much time on the foliage as there is on the car. 😀

I'll second or third that. I screwed up mine, my fault, sent it back and they fixed it, for free!

Stopped at a McDonalds in Grayling Mi. last week on the way home from the U.P., they had a sign out that they were  hiring, at $16 an hour. 😳
