Rodder's Roundtable / Re: Krown Rust Protection?

Thanks Joe. I had my car done last week in Grand Rapids and was real impressed with the application for $139. It took 2 hrs and was very thorough. Now I'll see how it works.

I'm looking at options and Krown has decent reviews in Canada so I was wondering if maybe the Canadian members here knew if it's worth trying.

I did a search and see that phat46 uses Krown. No other mention. You're probably right John. Maybe we're fighting a losing battle here in Michigan. At 74 I probably shouldn't be too concerned anyway.

Rodder's Roundtable / Krown Rust Protection?
September 12, 2022, 03:31:53 PM
I'm interested in hearing from people who have opinions on Krown. It's available mostly in Canada but there is a couple shops in Michigan.

I've never driven my Pontiac Vibe in the winter but just got a new pickup so the Vibe will be a winter car from now on. It has less than 100k miles so l plan to keep it a few more years and want to keep the rust away if I can.

I've been at the cabin for a while and haven't been able to log in to the new format on my phone here and post (weak signal maybe). I'm home for a day or two and can log in on my desk top.

I see WZJUNK posted that my old truck is for sale. Looking at the ad was a little bittersweet thinking about all the good times we had.

I'm still working on the addition to the log cabin...staying in the guest house.  I'm working alone so things go slowly for this old man but it's a passion.

That's terrible news Doug. The obituary is fine tribute to his life cut short by fate.

Quote from: phat46 on June 20, 2022, 03:16:21 PMI have picked up several commissions lately, the white Dodge just went out the door today and another is on the easel and another is waiting.
Very nice!! You're really good with those reflections.

It cost over $93 yesterday to fill 3 gas cans for the mower. I should get a goat.

I did my part to help the oil shortage today. I donated 15 gallons of drain oil at Advance Auto.

I'd like to see that 55 in real life.
Not real life but if you google 55 chev el camino, there are a few nice ones. There's a few '56 & '57s too.

I topped off this morning for $3.69 at a Sunoco. Their sign says $3.79 but there's a note on the pump that if you go inside to pay you get another dime/gal off. I guess that's a deal. Sam's is $3.86.

Can't wait to get the van out of winter storage. It gets 13-17mpg.   :(

The last couple of days, I have made phone calls inquiring about delivery time on bodies. I hear 1 year alot. At almost 70 years old, I don't feel comfortable in doing that. Am I wrong to look at it that way? I want to be working on something in the next year. If I quit working, I might find that doing something else is enjoyable. LOL.
I must have missed a post somewhere. What body are you thinking about? Something for a new project?

Dave, every time you post pictures of your truck I flash back to a great old ford truck I had back when I built the cabin. I put a 289 in it. It was a daily driver.

I have that Porter Cable air compressor for the cabin and my older Honda 2000W generator has no problem running the compressor. I've also got a 2300W Wen generator that runs it easily too.

Sams Club has a 2200W Westinghouse inverter generator right now for $319, free ship. Wen's website has a black friday sale for $385, free ship too. I think Champion, Wen, and Westinghouse are all about the same.
