Rodder's Roundtable / molasses and water
October 31, 2019, 03:35:34 AM
Give Citric Acid a go as well. I have used Molasses, but the smell, plus the little comments from my neighbours, drove me away from it. :D  Mix it in the same quantities as the Molasses and it'll work just fine and it's a little quicker than the molasses as well. I get my Citric acid off ebay if I'm making a big mix, or if only wanting a small amount, from a Home Brew shop or Hardware shops (It's used as a concrete scrub/etcher)

I've also heard of blokes putting a short length of steel brake tube inside the fitting. The tube compresses a bit as the fittings are tightened and that stops the air issue in the fitting. Hadn't heard of using the polyethylene tubing before.

Rodder's Roundtable / '27 2 door sedan

Thanks guys, still searching. Not after a coupe or a roadster. My current project is a roadster, so want to follow up with a sedan.

I will just keep on looking - something will come up. Doesn't it always

Hi guys, some quite a while ago I remember seeing an add in a Street Rodder (?) magazine from an American company/Rod Shop who was making Fiberglass '27 Tudor Bodies. Does anyone know if they are still produced or who the company was? I am interested in building one up as my next project and for what I have in mind it would be a shame to cut up a steel body. No one makes them here in Australia, that I am aware of.

Your post is a very interesting read Wayne and puts forward many thought provoking questions. I particularly like your idea of "Dust Seeding" weather fronts mate. Wonder if anyone will take any notice?

Interesting to note the Blaster was not wearing any form of respirator? Looks like a great job all the same.

Good luck with it all Frank. My Mum is 92 and like phat's she has no interest in going to live with all them old people. Also legally blind, have to repeat everything numerous times before she hears/understands, and has trouble walking further than a few yards, but steadfastly refuses to move in with "other old people", instead remains in her Unit, alone. Thankfully the Doctors took her licence off her many years ago.

Mind you, I think I'll buck pretty hard when the time comes to hand my licence in as well. But then that's different isn't it? I mean I'll be able to handle a car no worries, not like all them other old sods.

Mate, don't most warranties last for a year? That's when most of my stuff starts breaking down, just after about a year.  :D

Great little story Frank - and to think, not one Australian involved.
Just how many times have you crossed your country in a truck, hauling vehicles of one sort or another?
