Hmmm...depends on whether it was chrome plated or gold plated

Back in the 70's when I was married, we built a house, and wanted one of the counter saver cutting boards installed. The 'carpenter' came and cut the holes for the sink and counter top range, then I showed him where to cut the hole for the counter saver.  I came back later, and saw that he had cut the hole with square corners, and the cutting board had rounded corners. They gave me a square cornered board to fit the hole, but it wasn't a flush fit like the other one.

Years later, we remodeled the kitchen, so we could use better cabinets and countertop, etc. We hired out the whole kitchen, and when the carpenter installed the huge three piece counter top (and glued the two joints; U-shaped), he noticed a scratch by the backsplash. We could hardly see it and told him not to worry, it would be covered with appliances anyway.  Nope...he ordered a new center section, and came back and installed it at no charge. WOW! Haven't seen that kind of service since.

About 3 weeks ago, I noticed that when my furnace kicked on in the morning, the blower would go on and off before the temp reached the setting. I called a local shop that installed my a/c in 99. He checked it out, and said that the limit switch was going out. New one....or new furnace.... yadda, yadda, yadda.... I was sent a bill for $60, which I paid for the checkup, but I adjusted the switch down a little bit, and it's been working fine.

Quote from: "WZ JUNK"There is a real sharp 41 at Lost N the 50's.  If you are down this way, you could have a look at it.  I am trying to think of someone else who has one locally.   I have a friend at Anderson that drives a 47.  Call me for his phone number, he would be glad to help.
John, I changed Computers and lost my emil list.
If you would care to, please send me an email and let me know when you are going to be in the shop.
If i take the time to go to Lost in The 50s. I might as well come by and say HI.

Jim

Jim, I know that this is like comparing apples to oranges, but my 41 Pontiac fenders were riveted to the inner fenders. The rear of the fenders have about four bolts that I get to thru the kick panels inside the car. The rad support is one place where the fenders mount in the front, and the rad support also has sheet metal attached that helps mount the grill, etc. I've installed a Nova sub, so when I go to attach the fenders, I'll hang them by the rear bolts and build my brackets from there on the front forks. You might try that; attach the fenders at the rear, dig thru your pile of parts, and put it together until the parts are gone.

Is that a Ford Ranger attached to your trailer? Looks just like mine (99).
Good luck.

Hey George, I'm not remodeling my attic. I was blowing insulation into the house walls from above. I've got brick exterior and great plaster inside, so I didn't want to drill holes in any walls. My attic is a walk up, and being English cottage style, it's got peaks that must be 12 feet high. My gf wanted to build a room up there, and I said nope, storage only. Most of it is floored with flakeboard.

I just came down from up there; swept up the large piles of cell., then put a window fan in one window, opened the two others, and used the leave blower for the remaining dust. Worked out pretty good.

Quote from: "Crosley"Although there was no snow and it was only slightly up hill..... I installed about 6 squares of shingles today.  I installed the roof felt paper last week.

I can safely say that my body hurts in many areas that I forgot I had areas to hurt.

Only 9 more squares to install on sunday and monday.

On monday there will be a delivery of 300 landscape retaining wall stones and 100 bags of insulation for the shop's attic area.  oh boy!

Tony, I feel your pain!
I spent most of Friday up in the attic of my 64 year old house, drilling 1" holes in the wall top plates, and 4 hours Saturday filling those walls with blow-in insulation. Four years ago, I insulated the attic floor with 6" batts. If I had to do it all over, I would've used blow-in insulation on the floor also. NO itching, and no gaps. Very dusty, but the dust washes off, the itching doesn't. Buy 10 or more bags at Home Depot, get to use the blow-in machine free. I used the remaining stuff to fill in the gaps of the batts.

Gee, it feels awfully warm in here this am; guess I'll go turn down the thermostat.

If they made it to the US, they were probably going to revive the amphicar idea.

Oh man...I know they call those old big cars boats, but I didn't think they meant it literally!  What a waste of a nice of Buick.
