The going price for a used Hone is higher than a new Gear Vendors Gear Vendors sell a kit to change from one transmission to another transmission model. They also sell a shorty Gear vendors for Ford C4 transmissions that is shorter than the stock tailshaft.

What chassis are you using?

I like that Corvair but the Camaro look is still there.

I spent the afternoon replacing window switches on my Silverado. Not a big job normally, but difficult when your hands won't work. I'm going in for tests thursday.

I also replaced the starter solenoid on my zero turn. I only dropped one nut.

There is a shop in town here that does custom stereo installs for the car dealers. They managed to run a too long screw through the top of the cowl on a brand new Jeep. They put a shorter screw in the hole, and glued a deer whistle over the screw and put another one in the same place on the other side. Everyone was happy.

I was looking on Facebook marketplace last week and there was a 2004 Ford Explorer on there no engine or trans listed for $500 I was looking for front suspension parts, this one supposedly had a rebuilt front end on it. I offered him $300 for it. He replied he had to have $450. I countered with $350. He replied he was offered $400 by a scrap yard. I told him $350 was my best offer, he better take the $400. Saturday he messaged me and said he would take the $350 I offered. I told him I had found the parts I needed and didn't need it any more. Monday I offered him $300. Guess who bought an Explorer?

I finished up the fixture for holding a boring bar on my lathe today. It works good. I had to buy some 3/8" T bolts to hold it together.

QuoteAs I remember with my feeble brain, the fox bodies were marketed with a modified mac strut and it looks similar to the Gateway link so I'll go with that.

Yes the Fox bodies has a Macpherson strut, but no spring on it. The engineer , Earl Macpherson who invented the strut worked for GM at the time, but they had no interest in it. He moved to Ford and his srut was first used on the French Simca in 1954 which at the time was owned by Ford. The first use of it in a Ford was the 1960 English Ford Consul, although the 1959 Anglia had a version of it before that, a strut with a king pin in it.

My shop has been cleaned up by others twice in the last three months. I can't find anything now.

I picked up a near new Snap On (Wilton) 1760 6" bullet vice with stand today for $300. Birthday present for Josh.

Agreed. It's always entertaining. And educating too.
