Rodder's Roundtable / My old Rambler
April 25, 2018, 10:42:10 PM
Gotta thank enjenjo for his help on my brakes.  I got everything finished up and the dang fuel line sprung a leak which has prevented the car from going in for body work.  Maybe back on schedule tomorrow.

Rodder's Roundtable / Bonneville Marlin????
January 11, 2013, 01:29:14 PM
I belong to another forum (www.TheAMCForum.com) and there is a member who has contracted Salt Fever.  He wants to build a Marlin with the GenI 287 or 327.  His goal is to get 800/1000 plus horsepower using turbo/turbos.  Has anyone had any experience with this engine or know of someone who has?  I am not an engine person so be gentle on me.

Rodder's Roundtable / 401/409 AMC is alive!
January 11, 2012, 03:45:06 PM
The engine that has been under construction for the last year finally came to life on Sunday.  I do have some issues with the twin 500 cfm carbs but that will get sorted out on the dyno in the next few weeks.  I can hardly wait to see what kind of numbers this little monster puts out!  I hope I am not dissapointed.

Rodder's Roundtable / Edelbrock carbs
September 22, 2011, 08:37:51 PM
I am in the process of rebuilding my 401 AMC.  I have been using the Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs on the dual 4 intake.  I need to get the carbs cut back some.  When we did the teardown the heads where gummed up alot and my engine builder is not good at carbs by his own admission.  I have two calibration kits for the 1404 carbs.  Anyone have any experience with these?

Rodder's Roundtable / My 70 401 build
April 03, 2011, 07:06:14 PM
I am in the process of rebuilding my 401.  I ran this engine hard for 32 years and I had a piston ring land let go last August just 5 days before the International AMC show in detroit.  The 401 is at the machine shop now and the heads are being ported. The block will be 30 over with 10.2-1 pistons and a Isky 280HL cam.  The plan is to dyno when done and I will post the numbers which I hope are pretty good.  The plan is to have this thing back together by the end of May.

Just joined the RRT.  Thanks enjenjo.  I am into all cars but I like AMC's the most.  I like marching to the beat of a different drummer.  I have a 70 AMX that I have owned for 32 years.  I hope to get different ideas for the X from the roundtable!
