Got my truck back today. Rebuilt transmission and a new torque converter. Evidentaly in it 120,000 mile life the tranny has gone before and it was replaced with a "junk yard" trans from an earlier model. The plug to lock the converter was wrong and the kick-down linkage(?) under the dash was not adjusted or un-fastered. The guy that I had bought it from had bought it from a service station that had probably towed it in broken and got it for the tow bill and patched it together to get their money. So now I'm a little closer to Swanton on the 15th. GPster
