Thanks, Wayne!

I read the article about direct injection in a recent Hot Rod Magazine, but your link provided more details about how the system operates.

there seem to be 3 pages...  or many pictures..

here is direct to page 2

on the first link....    way up at the top.,.

be sure to click on the monthly blogs.. there is a lot of neat stuff covered in months of blogs...

this full month even has a short blog on voltage drop testing

Fancy stuff that, and it proves the internal combustion engine isn't nearly dead yet.

i was actually thinking about it... i really need to look at the the angle of the nozzles into the head...     there might be room between the coolant passage and the pair of intake runners... where the exhaust crossover was... and again  between the rear pair of intake runners and the rear coolant passage..

CoPPooPPoC

C is a coolant passage
o is where the injector will pass through the deck
P  is the intake port..

it might be easier to do something like world products did..  and make a conventional bolt pattern small block chevy head with the best L92 head ports...

i would bet that gm engineering has a pair of prototype direct injection heads for the LS series of motors..

i wonder if there is any wear problems with the far cylinder wall..  as it might get washed down a bit..  but i guess that would depend on at what point the cycle the spray is started...

i seem to recall that some of the motors this year might be direct injection

those might be interesting to examine...
