Gasoline prices went up saturday here... Sunday they came back down to the previous levels. Diesel did not change.
Just some slap ask weird price changes going on here again.

Paid $3.10 for regular gasoline at a local Sams Club.. on tuesday
Only lite price changes lately... Down 2 cents a day or 2 , then up 4 cents. None of that 20 to 30 cent changes per day.
Diesel has remained near the same around me.. $3.72 to $3.99-9
The "clubs" have dropped to $2.95-9 here
I was out n about for a few errands this sunday morning..
Street price on regular seems to still be $3.23-9 to $3.39-9 for now.
Diesel still at $3.99-9 and lower in a few spots.
Paid $2.96 for regular gasoline at Sams Club this tuesday morning..
Street price is running $3.23-9 to $3.17-9 for regular.
Diesel remains at $3.99-9 on down
Wacky , regular grade gasoline has dropped to street price is a common $3.17-9 around me.. The "clubs" are at $2.91-9 now.
Diesel is $3.71-9 to $3.89-9
My local station has been $3.09 for regular, same as stations in next larger town 12 miles away. Yesterday it jumped to to $3.29, while other town still had $3.09.

The "clubs" are now $2.90 a gallon.
Diesel has not changed much.

Paid $3.59-9 for diesel today... This was via a 30 cent discount with points from grocery store out here named Frys.. I think Kroger owns them ?
Regular grade gasoline was $3.07-9

Paid $3.12 a galllon for regular today.. $39.50 in to the ol Civic sedan car.
We drove by the Sams club 2 times. Sams was Jammed up with cars at 3 dollar a gallon. I am an impatient person. Not gonna wait behind 7 - 10 cars for gasoline.

thursday 02-15-2024 the station near us went from $3.20 a gallon to $3.50 a gallon. Several other stations only went up 10 cents.
Diesel is up a dime too.
Hi... Local to us the price of regular is still $3.49-9 .. A few stations around the area are high as $3.69-9.

Most stations around here are $3.49, but Costco was $3.23 the other day when I filled up the car.
I noticed today while in Sylvania Oh that regular was $3.13 and Diesel was $3.14 I was kind of surprised.
The "clubs" are up another 5 cents for regular gas....
I read we are up about 30 cents average from a month ago.

We paid $3.39-9 for reg gasoline this morning for the Honda Civic car.

Big change is many stations in our area jumped up overnite by 20 cents. Couple of the stations went up 30 cents

THe clubs gasoline prices are up again this thursday... Now $3.21-9.. The street prices on nearby stations still remain unchanged. $3.79-9 to 3.85-9 for regular is common. Diesel is still around 4 dollars a gallon

The Clubs are now at $3.29-9.... The street prices are about the same since the 20 - 30 cent increase the other day. Weird , I say.

I bought fuel several times in New Zealand the last couple of weeks. It is priced by the liter but when you convert from liters to gallons it ran about $11 a gallon nz or about $7 US. I visited with a guy one day there that was driving a big block Mopar. I figure he was using about $1 of gas a mile. :).

Scratch that earlier report. Street prices around here jumped up. $3.80 to $4.00 a gallon on regular. The clubs are still at $3.20 with huge lines at the pumps.

The "clubs" are at $3.35 a gallon this monday morning.. with Huge waiting lines when drove past on sunday.
Most other stations are still $3.80 to $4.00 a gallon.
$3.09 at Costco this week.
The "clubs" reached $3.40 a gallon on regular by the end of the day monday..

I bought diesel for my F350 truck today. We had 30 cents discount from the price $3.93-9 to $3.63-9

The "clubs" hit $3.50 a gallon over the weekend.. THey have dropped back to $3.48 a gallon for regular.
Street prices have come back down 2 to 5 cents a gallon on regular , Diesel remains the same
Local stations were at $3.79-9 for a while.. Today (wednesday) the prices jumped 20 - 30 cents. Stations near us that were $3.79-9 are now $4.09-9 for regular.
Diesel is still the same price, i doubt that lasts long.
Some rumbles on the price increase is: Summer blend change over(its not summer here yet)... and the Calliefornia refineries are not operating at capacity .

Whacky price changes with the clubs and street prices.. In the area of 2 to 5 cents change during the day.

Station near us can be at $4.09-9 in the evening.. Next morning it is $4.07-9... By late in the afternoon , its back up to $4.09-9.

I spoke too soon again.. Prices in our area went up 20 - 30 cents a gallon on gasoline again. Station near us that was $4.09-9 this morning... Late afternoon , it hit $4.39-9.
Station east of us where I changed out a flat tire on sunday.. Was at $4.59-9 this afternoon when I visited the AutoZone next door.

Diesel dropped to 4 dollars a gallon. My F350 is just over half tank still (48 gal tank)

The average cost of regular in NJ is currently at $3.61.
Most stations in my area of NJ are $3.41 to $3.52.
Street prices on regular is in the 4 teens or lower.. $4.13 to $4.03 , that is around us.

I paid $3.60 a gallon for regular in Prescott AZ the other day on a Motorcycle ride. The station offered Ethanol phree regular gasoline at 50 cents higher a gallon. As I recall yrs ago , we were told when ethanol was blended in to gasoline it made the gasoline higher priced. Now non ethanol gasoline is much higher priced. Must be supply and demand at work here?
I've known for almost 20 years that the petroleum markets at all levels have massive amounts of price manipulation. All sorts of counterintuitive things happen at the same time. The price of crude goes down, but the price of gasoline goes up. The price of gasoline goes down, but the price of diesel goes up. Normal seasonal variations don't hold true, but no one knows why. Five refineries coincidentally shut down for planned maintenance at the same time, creating a weird spike. So much storage fills up at once that there's no longer any capacity available to actually ship the stuff. I've seen all of this and more.
We all know OPEC + Russia are massive players in all of this. I stumbled over this today, though...there's a guy here in the USA who colludes with them and has the power to move markets. One man! I did some reading on clear gasoline... It seems that sulfur has been scrubbed out of it too. But 50 cents extra a gallon scrubbing?
