I have a friend that is looking for a long shaft ball mount for a Lokar throttle cable.  I looked in McMaster-Carr and don't find anything.  I think he is looking for a 10x32 thread ball end that has about an inch of thread.  He has one of those retro tech 6 deuce EFI units and wants to connect to the front left carb.  We can build a bracket, but a longer ball mount would be cleaner.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well, if he has a short one, he could make an extension out of a piece of stainless rod, about 5/16" diameter. Drill it and tap through it 10/32, screw it in one end, and use a button head screw to hold it to the carb.

here is the dorman pdf ... just six pages

the throttle linkages ends are on the last page...  but they still look too short..

so i also agree... making a stand off... or buying one that is already made..

perhaps.. something that is stepped to position it in the carb linkage hole..  with a wide base to spread the load
