Am I the only one that thinks disconnecting an air bag and installing a wheel that will kill you in a smash is a bad idea ?  It would be illegal here

As you know my 32 is to all intents finished my other car is a '12 gt500
Anyway I went on a run and one guy in a rouch had a yellow mustang in the back window on the parcel tray
I couldn't find one so I made one out of 6mm alloy
Cut it out with a drill press and hand filed will paint same red as the stripes

Rodder's Roundtable / Tonight

I wanted a pony emblem the same colour as the stripes on the gt500 I have to go in the back window on the parcel shelf and I am too tight to buy one. So I cut and pasted one off the net blew it up .
Then cut one out of some 6mm alloy
I can't remember who I lent my jig saw too so cut it out with the drill press a bit messy but worked eventually, now lots of files and paint
Pic when finished

Made some exhaust block offs for temporary use to get through the cert test
Just a bit of custom wood with a small hole, needs to be less than 99 db at 4000 rpm which is nearly impossible

I have already put some restrictors made out of panel steel at the collector with 4 7mm holes in it

Only has to do it once

You are right! I started on my 40th birthday carried on through a marriage breakup and a global recession and of course the times where I simply didn't know what to do next, but the plan is to have it on the road all legal for this birthday ( next month) Having a supportive GF has helped a lot

Rodder's Roundtable / details
October 26, 2015, 07:49:51 PM
I have loaded every detail over the years right here Smile unfortunately it has taken a loooong time

The engine and gearbox are Lexus to skirt the computers I manualised the gearbox with a computer made by a genius in Oz and replaced the engine computer with a NZ made Link computer. The flappy paddles are from Shrifter I had to make their computer talk to the gearbox computer one paddle is up and the other is down

Rodder's Roundtable / paddles
October 26, 2015, 06:46:30 PM
Hi the paddles control the auto gearbox it has been manualised and doesn't shift on it's own
The stick is just for PRND
If you select 1st gear it will stay in first till you shift to 2nd or the motor blows
