47convert

I started out with a really good coupe and the most rotten convertible I've ever seen and cut both cars apart and welded the good stuff back together to make this car. Jim Baillie helped me in deciding where to make the cuts etc, and he chopped the windshield (2 1/4") for me. I did the chassis using a Fatman ultra low crossmember, and Posies adjustable rear spring hangers. The rest is all home brew. It has a .030 over bored 454 Chevy, 400 TH, big 31 spline 9" rear end. It has power everything, although the top cylinders are out right now due to a hydraulic leak. AC, Heat, defrost drom vintage air, I used the stock rear seat and Chrysler buckets in the front. Rob Guenette of Tecumseh Auto Upholstery, here in Windsor Ontario Canada, did the seats in Bone Leather. The wheels are Cragars that are over 30 years old and never had a tire on them till now.
