My phantom '50 Victoria is an idea that occurred to me 40 years ago -- '50 trim, grille, dash, etc on a '51 Victoria, combined as a body style Ford didn't make. It's lowered a lot (Camaro clip) and has a few seams and handles removed, ZZ3 crate motor with 700R4 trans, Nardi wheel, A/C, decent stereo in the old radio housing. Rolls on Coker 215/75 WWW radials. Dark green paint, butterscotch interior. Thanks to Vince Asaro for chassis fabrication, Dan Pardini and Ross Bottarini for body & paint, Sid Chavers for interior -- all extraordinary craftsmen with more skill and patience than I have. Since finished, this car has been driven from the SF bay area to Colorado, Michigan/Minnesota, Washington, and has been up and down California numerous times.

The '36 lost its virginity circa 1960, when it received a '55 265 SBC, juice brakes and running gear from a postwar Ford, black lacquer, black wool interior. I bought it in '95, and it was like a time machine: the car had only been driven 5000 miles since '65. I added the dropped axle, '37 bumpers, and whites, and it's having some modest bodywork done now (Hudson taillights, sunken license plate -- like that).

Red, the '67 Stepside, was built in Minneapolis by several different owners, finished by Lee Hjelmgren. Top is chopped modestly, lowered a lot, 400/400, solenoid doors, 8 & 10x15" 6-bolt steelies with modern radials, controversial sun visor. The picture was taken soon after I bought it in '88, and I've mostly just driven it. Needs paint bad, now.
