Rick Fredericks is currently building this '39 Chevy sedan. He has installed a Chassis Engineering front crossmember with Mustang ll control arms, Granada rotors, mid-size GM calipers, power rack and CE sway bar. The rear suspension consists a narrowed 9" Ford (3.70 posi), Seville disc brakes, a home built triangulated 4-bar arrangement with AVO coil overs and Deuce Factory sway bar. The dash consists of a home built aluminum billet insert. The instrument panel opening will be widened to the center of the car to accommodate the insert. A Plexiglas panel will cover the gauges similar to a late model dash. Future plans include: 383 SBC, 400 turbo with Gear Vendors overdrive, late model Thunderbird power seats, Cadillac tilt/telescopic column, power windows, power door locks, intermittent wipers, Vintage Air, 10 disc CD player w/ remote, cruise control, black base coat/clear coat paint with saddle colored leather interior and a 4 week trip cross country attending as many events as possible and hooking up with a "Power Tour". Rick has a long way to go, but an excellent canvas to work on. One idea, how about leaving the rear bumper off, radius out the bumper bracket holes in the rear valance, and have the exhaust tips exit there, just barely extending past the body. Can't wait to see it finished!
