1FATGMC

This mean '48 GMC is the perfect example of a Salt Lakes hauler. Body work includes a 3 inch chop, 6 inch body section (body 6", hood 2", front fenders 2"), front fenders widened 2 inches, and an all steel tilt front end. The grill shell was made from two upper shells, and grill teeth come from Night Prowlers. The unique bed was all hand made. The chassis consists of '73 Camaro sub-frame and rear springs, original boxed rails from cab back, and the rest of the frame and crossmembers were owner built. Power from front to back is a 350 SBC, World SR Torquer heads, Comp Cams 252 cam & lifters, roller tip rockers, Weiand Action Plus manifold, Q-jet, Hedman Headers, balanced crank, 700R4 with B&M rebuild kit and a GM 3.55 rearend. The truck usually sees about 8 to 10 thousand miles a year. Sumner did all of the work except for the interior, done by Josh Parriott of Moab, UT, and the base clear and flames, shot by Jim Bayles of Blanding, UT. The engine was build by Marcell Motors of Cortez, CO.
